I highly doubt the issue is there since it was able to work once and it has worked with no difficulty using MCE 2005 in the past. Streaming from linux to 360?
I have just upgraded a system that was running Windows Media Center 2005 that was working perfectly to Windows Vista Beta 2. I get this message on the local console as well as through the Xbox 360 extender interface. I have looked in the event log to see if any info was logged in there but there is nothing.

I cannot get my Xbox 360 to run as an extender anymore (as of Jan 1st) so I am guessing it is the same issue. I can;t get at my music, or photos or recorded TV. I've recently done just that on my Windows Media Center 2005 PC and although I've re-acquired all the licenses for any DRM based music & videos I've got, they're not playable via either my Xbox 360 or my laptop (with Vista Beta 2 installed). Since you stated MCE works fine, you must have 100mps wired network, correct? Did you install any third party software? All hardware has drivers installed? Beta 2, so 5384 and yes, Ultimate. My network is pretty standard. Router connected to the internet all other computers and the 360 connected to router.
